What Lattis does
Lattis crawls any public website, generates the buyer questions
your category actually asks, scores how well your site answers
each one, and serves the content to AI agents through a hosted
MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint at
https://mcp.lattis.dev/mcp. Every site we index also
gets its own per-site MCP endpoint at
https://mcp.lattis.dev/s/{your-domain}/mcp.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cost of using Lattis for my website?
Lattis is free for any public website. There is no cost to get an AI Visibility Score, to be indexed, or to query our hosted MCP endpoint. Pay-as-you-go re-crawls are $5 each, billed through Stripe — no subscription, no seats, no rate cards. Verified domain owners get expanded indexing at no extra charge.
Do I need to make any changes to my website to use Lattis?
No. Lattis works with any public website as-is. Paste your URL at lattis.dev and we crawl, chunk, embed, and serve your content to AI agents. No code changes, no meta tags, no SDK, no DNS records required to get a score.
How does Lattis differ from traditional SEO optimization?
SEO optimizes for human search engines using rankings and meta tags. AI agents don't use rankings — they read content directly. Lattis grades how well your site answers the questions buyers actually ask, gives a per-question diagnosis with fix recommendations, and serves the content to agents through a hosted MCP endpoint. Think of Lattis as SEO for AI.
Which AI tools and platforms are compatible with Lattis?
Lattis works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code,
Windsurf, and any client that supports MCP (Model Context
Protocol), REST APIs, or stdio CLIs. The hosted endpoint is
https://mcp.lattis.dev/mcp. See lattis.dev/builders
for one-line install snippets for every supported client.
Can I control what information AI agents can access about my site?
Yes. Verify domain ownership via DNS to claim your site, then manage which pages are indexed and how often we re-crawl. Per-page visibility settings are on the roadmap.
How often does Lattis update its indexing of my website?
Free tier sites are re-crawled automatically when natural change signals are detected. Verified domain owners can trigger re-crawls on demand through pay-as-you-go billing or set up scheduled re-crawls. Every result we return carries a last_crawled timestamp so agents and humans both know how fresh the data is.
What is the AI Visibility Score and how is it calculated?
The AI Visibility Score is a 0–100 grade for how well your site answers the questions buyers and AI agents actually ask. Lattis generates around 15 buyer-style questions for your category, runs them against your site's content using a judge model, and scores answered, partial, or unanswered. Each miss gets a diagnosis: missing page, vague claim, contradictory pages, collapsed content, or genuinely absent — plus a per-question fix recommendation in your report.
Can I customize the data that Lattis provides to AI agents?
Verified domain owners can manage which pages are indexed and remove stale evaluations from their report. Per-page visibility settings, custom evaluation questions, and structured action endpoints are on the roadmap.
How does Lattis handle contradictory or missing information on my website?
Lattis surfaces both. Missing-page misses tell you a buyer question has no source page anywhere on your site. Contradictory misses tell you two pages give different answers — for example, README says Node 18+ and the install page says Node 20+. Vague claims (saying "enterprise-grade" instead of a number) are flagged separately. Each miss carries a per-question fix recommendation in your report.
What are the benefits of verifying domain ownership with Lattis?
Verified domains crawl up to 2,000 pages per site (vs 500 on the free tier), unlock on-demand re-crawls, get team workspaces with shared reports, and can remove stale evaluations. Verification is via a single DNS TXT record — no code, no plugins.
Are there any limitations to the free version of Lattis?
The free tier crawls up to 500 pages per site and re-crawls on natural freshness signals. Verified domains crawl up to 2,000 pages and unlock on-demand re-crawls. Pay-as-you-go full-depth re-crawls cost $5 each and crawl up to 5,000 pages. The hosted MCP endpoint, REST API, CLI, and all read access remain free for everyone.
How does Lattis plan to expand its features and capabilities in the future?
The live roadmap includes team workspaces, custom evaluation questions, scheduled monitoring, change-detection webhooks, CSV and JSON exports, bulk domain intake, and richer claim-by-DNS verification flows. The full roadmap with status (live, building, planned) is at lattis.dev.
Can I use Lattis with multiple websites or domains?
Yes. The same Lattis API and hosted MCP endpoint cover every indexed site, and you can submit any number of public domains for indexing through the form at lattis.dev. Team workspaces for managing multiple verified domains under one organization are on the roadmap.
What kind of support or documentation does Lattis provide for users?
Full integration documentation lives at lattis.dev/docs and covers the hosted MCP server, per-site MCP endpoints, REST API, CLI, and copy-paste install snippets for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf. For specific questions, email hello@lattis.dev.
